How to cancel

  • Don't remove the account. Removing the account won't stop payments. If you remove your account, they will still take money from your credit card.

  • You need to cancel fourteen days before the expiration of your current subscription. Otherwise, it will renew for another period. To cancel, you need to use the instruction from their Terms and conditions.

  • You can cancel your subscription via settings like it is described in point 5.3 www.academicsingles.com/info/terms-conditions. If you decide to do this way, I recommend capturing a screen recording to have proof you canceled. Some people reported even after cancellation Academic Singles still charge the credit card.

  • I recommend doing it via email as we will have proof we canceled it.

Send email customerservice@academicsingles.com with the full name, country, and email address we used for registration.

  • Keep the email and don't remove it as it will be your proof you follow the instruction for registration.

  • If you tried to unsubscribe via settings, use some screen recording to have proof you canceled.

  • Block your credit card - canceling doesn't guarantee they will stop charging your credit card. Blocking your credit card is the surest way. If you didn't block your credit card and keep charging, you use Charge Back in your bank to get money returned (you need to contact your bank and prove the transaction was not correct).

  • Ignore the debt collector's threats- often, if they cannot take money from you, they will threaten you with a debt collector agency. Ignore it!

  • A debt collector doesn't have any special legal powers to collect a debt from you, and I never heard anyone was sued in court by Academic Singles owner. I assume it's because they probably couldn't win in court. Besides, if you have proof of unsubscribing from their service, they shouldn't harass you at all.
